Multi-Layer Urethane Resin Cast Helmet, Ear Cap Kit, Rangefinder Kit included. Will include Resin left around edges and visor area to be cut out. The Ear Cap and Rangefinder and all associated hardware are included, ready to be assembled. Assembly instructions are included with the helmet. Visor NOT included. This helmet has the animated style Ear Cap and Rangefinder, and is designed to work the exact same way as the animated TV show. Dimensions: W – 8.75 in., L – 9.75 in., H – 11.5in. Thickness ~ 1/8″ to 1/4″. NOTE: Surface of cast is smooth to the touch, but will show some wet sanding lines. There may be color variation in the resin between products. Products are all made by hand, and will ship in approximately 1-3 weeks.
Prior to molding, helmet master was wet sanded to 1000 grit. Recommendations: Before painting, wet sand helmet with 400 grit sandpaper to remove any residue. For metallic airbrushing, wet sand to higher grits. Remember to use a primer on the helmet after sanding, prior to any painting.
The Ear Cap and Rangefinder assembly will require a strong adhesive, such as a quick set epoxy. Follow all instructions and time for full cure. Ear Cap can be removed for any internal repairs. All custom parts are resin cast, and may require some edge sanding to remove any flashing residue. Metal is embedded in the Range Finder attachment for strength.
